TWO Sunderland men died following a horrific road smash in the early hours of this morning.(12thDec
04)
The men, aged 20 and 23, who are from the city, were killed following the accident in Ferguson
Street, Hendon.
Police were called to the road, at the rear of an industrial estate, at 12.10am after a motorcycle
is understood to have careered out of control.
One of the men died at the scene, while the other was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital where he
was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police say they are still trying to establish the exact circumstances of the tragedy and an
investigation is now under way.
Officers attended the scene after a police patrol car was flagged down in Hendon just after
midnight.
Sergeant John Butler, from Sunderland motor patrols division, said: "It is vital anyone who
might have witnessed this accident comes forward as soon as possible, so we can establish exactly
what has happened

Where do I start? It's been a long time since that tragic day Heston, I couldn't believe it when I was told what happened to you. I always knew that this life wasn't for you and hopefully you are at peace. I've visited your grave a few times Heston and it seems you were forgotten in death as you were in life. Every so often you pop into my head and I smile at the memories i have of you, running round the street always wanting attention (even if it was in your mam's clothes, haha). I hope your life wasn't all bad and that you did have good times with your friends who cared about you so much, that they started this memorial site for you!! Thinking of you always. Love Donna xXx
